One victim speaks out

This began in June 2009. He wanted to borrow $350k for his business. We would meet occasionally - with the promise of undying love.

He bought me an Engagement ring, whhich he later told the courts was a Friendship ring. He asked me to invest in land he had in Geelong, which was ready for subdivision. I sold two investment properties in Adelaide and used the proceeds to "invest" in this land. The land was no longer his, as I learnt later.

I found out from a friend that he was advertising on an internet dating site on Christmas Eve 2009. I had to pretend that all was well until lawyers were back from holidays, to start proceedings against him.

Two years and $200k (borrowed from friends) later, I have an order and Judgement from the Supreme Court for over 1.3 million dollars against him but the paper is as much use as a letter box on a tombstone! Enforcement of these orders is up to me- he has to be located and the money collected from him.

He has changed his name several times, dyed his hair and moved interstate. (According to A Currennt Affair, Feb 14, 2012, he is currently in London).

He has used the investment lad story consistently. Even while the court case was going on he was taking money from a woman in NSW who he met on the internet. When the judge asked for his books to be presented at the next court hearing, he had his showroom burned down, taking other businesses with his.

He had moved the best of his furniture oout in the week before the fire. The heat of the fire was so great it destroyed all evidence of accellerant used.

Love-Rat Salvatore

Salvatore has mastered the art of romance, unfortunately for the women who fall for his wily charms. Slippery Sal isn't after their hearts and, even after we caught him out the first time, he is still chasing lonely women with deep pockets.
